Objective
-
Our first project under Project Mitahy is dedicated to ensuring that underprivileged children in Fort Dauphin, Madagascar, have the opportunity to attend school for the 2024 academic year. We aim to cover tuition fees and provide essential school supplies for these children, helping them access education.
Project Overview -
In Fort Dauphin, many families face financial difficulties that prevent them from sending their children to school. As a result, children are often sent to the beaches to sell souvenirs, missing out on critical educational opportunities. This initiative will support these children by paying their school tuition and supplying them with the necessary materials to succeed in their studies.
Goals
-
Send 117 children to school
Our target is to fund the tuition fees and school supplies for 117 underprivileged children in primary and pre-school in Fort Dauphin for the upcoming school year.
Promote Educational Continuity
By alleviating financial burdens, we aim to improve school attendance rates and reduce dropout rates among these children.
Monitor Progress
We will follow up and monitor the children's progress throughout the school year to ensure they are thriving academically and personally.
Provide school supplies
Each child will receive a complete set of school supplies, including notebooks, pens, pencils, uniforms, and backpacks.
Reduce Child Labor on Beaches
By keeping children in school, we aim to reduce the number of children working on beaches and promote a safer, more secure environment for their development.
Impact
-
By supporting this project, you are not just sending a child to school; you are investing in their future and the future of their community. Education is a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering the next generation of Malagasy leaders. Additionally, by keeping children off the beaches and in classrooms, we create a safer environment for their growth and development. Continuous monitoring ensures that we can provide additional support if needed and celebrate their achievements.
